IMPORTED DOG: [4 Entries
- 1 absent] |
| My choice in this class was
No 3 - Ch Bullyview Leading Role to Nevada (Imp UK).
He impressed immediately with his presence, power, strength and bone. His temperament was friendly and outgoing, full of confidence, keen to show his best and loved the event. His head is strong, deep, well filled and his under jaw strong. His expression keen and he used his ears well. Canines were correctly placed and he has a scissors bite. His lips are tight, neck is long and strong and flows perfectly into his shoulders. He has thick round bone, a tight fitting and shiny coat. His chest is broad and deep and his ribs well sprung. A
Dog of substance indeed! His front legs are straight and his elbows well tucked in under his body. He has well developed thighs and second thighs. He was handled well.
I would have liked to see more purpose from him on the move. He lacked a bit of thrust and drive and he did not cover the ground as I would have liked him to do. His front and rear movement, though square lacked a bit of both drive and reach. However a top dog that won the class with ease.
No 01 - Baraddur Prince at Kilacabar (Imp UK) also caught my eye with his cracking head and tremendous bone. His head is very deep and strong. His lack of purpose on the move let him down.

In this very tough class to judge my winner was
No 17 - Ch Navada Eye Bandit. He has the most paralyzing expression! His eyes are small, dark, triangular and piercing. The distance between the tip of his nose and his eyes are significantly longer than the distance between his eyes and the top of his skull. His head is well filled with a broad and strong muzzle that enhances his keen and piercing expression. His bite is absolutely perfect with strong regular teeth. The positive virtues regarding his head quality over shadows his “eye brows” (dents above his eyes) that slightly spoils the almost perfect picture.
His neck is long, well arched and strong. His back is very short and his top line level. His correct angulations are beautifully seen if he is viewed from a distance. His tail set is low, stifles are well turned and his hocks short. He is an outgoing confident dog that loved every moment of the show and handled very well indeed.
He moved with purpose, drive and thrusts beautifully at the back while he was covering the ground with ease. His top line stayed level on the move. My only negative critique about him is that his front legs are not straight. He was in perfect condition and his coat fitted closely over his rock hard body.
No 10 - Ch Bukavi Diesel N Dust also impressed in this class. A Powerhouse all over with beautiful body lines! Bandit tipped the scale on head quality. Diesel’s mouth problem and his muzzle not being as strong as Bandit’s, made me sure of my decision.

VASE - BITCHES UNDER 2 YEARS: [9 Entries - 1

The best bitch in my opinion in this class was
No 30 - Rhinestone Rumour Has It of Malycwa (AI). When she entered the ring she impressed a lot with her outstanding quality, balance and type. She displayed a lot of femininity as required by the breed standard.
Her excellent head is one of her very strong virtues (my best head of the day). It is long strong and deep with a keen expression. Her teeth are 100% correct, a true scissors bite. Her head is very smooth and her ears well set. It is a pity that her nose is not black all over.
Her layback of shoulder is excellent. Her neck flows perfectly into her body. Her chest is deep and broad for her size. She filled the entire space. Her front legs are gun barrel straight. Her body is short, well ribbed with adequate substance. Her top line is level, her stifles well turned and her tail set reasonable.
Unfortunately her hind movement is not her strong point. She moves close at the back, lacking drive, a smooth thrust action and purpose. Her overall quality (well put together), very smart body lines and femininity made her an easy winner for me in this class. She was well beautifully prepared and in a top show condition.

JUG - BITCHES UNDER 2 YEARS: [11 entries - 3

At least four bitches impressed me in this class and made the choice very difficult, a close affair between the top competitors. No wonder the service of the referee was called on in this class!
At the end it was No 42 - Ch Stelron Iron Lady of Combolcias that got her nose in front. She is a classy feminine bitch that showed until the end. Her head is very long, well filled under the eye and curved right to the tip of the nose. Her head is smooth with a wicked keen expression and her ears are bang on top. Her mouth is just off pincer and canines placed correctly. Her neck is long and strong and flows nicely into her body. Her front legs are gun barrel straight and she has small cat feet. Her body is short. Unfortunately her high tail set spoils her animated picture. Her turn of stifle is ok. She was handled very smartly showing off her virtues to the full and she was in tip-top show condition.
She moved with purpose, perfectly parallel in front and reached out well. She flexed well at the back with a smooth action. Even if her movement is a bit close at the back she must be classified as one of the better movers on the day. Though she was pushed hard by some of the other bitches her head quality and movement tipped the scale into her favor.
Another outstanding bitch was No
35 - Ch Dajamani Dancing Carla, a feminine bitch with a lovely head and body. Her close hind movement let her down.
No 37 - Ch Elru Joanie must also be mentioned with absolute broad muzzle, magnificent substance and super hind movement. Her length of body and lack of showmanship cost her dearly. |
