2004 MAJOR TROPHY SHOW JUDGES REPORT
Mr David Jones

It gave me great pleasure to judge this fantastic show with my co-judge Mr Dave Brennan and Dr Peter Larkin.

I must admit I did feel the odd one out as several of the results were not my choice, but that's judging dogs and it was all done in a professional manner.

I would have loved to have judged the "Over 2 years Bitch Jug", as from where I was sat there were some very good bitches out there.

I must congratulate the committee on the re-vamping of the venue with all those drapes, carpet, large ring, flowers and tables set for judges.  The whole venue was outstanding.  I judge dance competitions there and it has never looked so good!

The evening dinner and presentation was excellent and I must say what a happy crowd of "Bully people" who all made me feel most welcome and one Airedale lady who I must not forget, "our Pat" and Eukenuba who sponsored this super day.

DOG OF THE YEAR

CH DAJAN SKIES THE LIMIT OF SANDAWANA
My winner all the way!  Outstanding quality dog.  Big boy with loads of presence, very eye catching.  Strong head, good eye3 and ear placement.  Streamlined neck into well placed shoulders.  Good topline for his size.  Strong quarters with good bed of stifle.  he moved well both ways.  This dog can only get better.  Well turned out and well handled.

IMPORTED BITCHES

GRISSEBASSE KYKKELI KOKKOS OF LUSAHN
Stood alone, decent type with good head and front, nice bodylines.  Showed and handled well.

UNDER TWO YEARS BITCHES ORMANDY VASE

KINGSTONIA FULL CIRCLE
Flashy girl who showed well.  Good head, eye "a little kind".  Shapely body, decent bend of stifle.  Stood "four square".  Moved nicely both ways.  Would like a little more bone.

COLOURED BITCHES

KINSTONIA FULL CIRCLE

UNDER TWO YEARS DOGS ORMANDY VASE

1) Winner No.6 IZIHALO RUNAROUND PETE
White dog with short back, very well put together.  Good front and quarters, nice round bone, excellent head.  Moved and handled well.  Not my winner as his gay tail spoilt the picture for me.

2) Runner up and my winner NEXCON WHITE AS NIGHT AT NEXWIN
Very sound balanced dog, looked more mature.  Good head and front.  Decent top line, plenty of bone and substance.  Moved nicely both ways.  Thought the handler gave up on him with the referee judge.

OVER TWO YEARS DOGS ORMANDY JUG

Winner CH DENERAD MR ICE OF RIALZISTA
Handsome white male, stood "four square", quality, make and shape.  Good long strong head, decent eye, correct shoulders, good top line and quarters.   Moved nicely both ways.  Handler needs to point his dog at his opposition to show him off, especially when on the end of the line.

COLOURED DOGS RHEEDER TROPHY

1)  CH ANIRO ST CHRISTOPHER
As referee my winner.  Brindle cobby dog, short back, plenty of bone and substance.  Good head and front.  Decent quarters.  "Flashy" sort.  Showed and handled well.

2)  Runner-up CH BULLRAGE FRANCESKOW OF KLAPNEL
Red dog with good head, decent front, good bend of stifle which makes his rear movement very good but he toes in front a little and I find him a shade camel backed on topline for me.

SUPREME BULL TERRIER

DAJAN SKIES THE LIMIT AT SANDAWANA
For me, won this with ease and stood out from the rest when he first entered the ring early on in the day.  That makes him supreme, well done!

BEST MOVER

1)  CH BULLRAGE FRANCESKOW OF KLAPNEL
Although not my winner I could appreciate his hind movement.  He toed in a little for me.

2)  Runner-up CH RHINESTONE ROUGH MAGIC OF DANNEL
My winner who moved well both ways with excellent front action.
